She previously worked for 14 years with victims of crime, primarily victims of family violence and sexual abuse.

While earning her degrees, Kathy reared five children who were all teenagers at the same time, and worked in various capacities including being a missionary, stay-at-home mom, school teacher, children’s pastor, administrative assistant, Teen Court Coordinator, chaplain, and most recently a crime victim’s liaison for three local police departments. Kathy counsels married couples, children ages 8+, teenagers, parents, the abused and victimized, and those dealing with women’s issues, anxiety and stress, depression, caregiver issues, and spiritual issues. She specializes in relationship issues, marriage, divorce, parenting, transitions, grief or loss, depression, anxiety or fear, self-image, abuse, and anger. For your convenience, she offers daytime and late afternoon appointments in a central DFW location as well as via telehealth visits.

Kathy’s approach to counseling is that the One who created us has given us a book, the Bible, which is both a love letter and instruction manual for this life. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man (or woman) of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17 ESV. Whatever your struggle might be, or how overwhelming it may seem, she will work with you to find answers that are centered on both truth and grace.
